The term Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts, abbreviated GbR, is one of three forms of limited partnership known in Germany. It is a general partnership in which all partners are fully liable for the partnership's debts. It is not a legal entity, but it can acquire rights and liabilities, own property and sue or be sued.
