The House of Wettin was a dynasty of German kings, princes, dukes and counts who once ruled over territories in present-day Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. Without further background information, "ROYAL WETTIN" above "AUSTRIA" alone is suspicious, even if it could merely be the name of a series used by an Austrian producer. Items bearing this mark are poorly made with cheap transfers and poorly applied gilding; they merely abuse the prestigious name. This mark has nothing to do with another Royal Wettin mark, M210932, which was used at the Erdmann Schlegelmilch factory.
