Depending on which country or collector group the actual viewers come from, these marks frequently cause lengthy discussions. However, people should stick to the facts. Mepoco is definitely not a manufacturer, as proven by the numerous countries of origin (Czechoslovakia, France, Germany and Japan) and the various original manufacturer marks (Adolf Laufer, Frie Onnaing, etc.) present on Mepoco-marked wares. It is beyond me why some collectors of Japanese wares still claim that Mepoco was a Japanese manufacturer, and this proves how wrong self-proclaimed "experts" can be.
