There are two unproven theories regarding this mark. Some people believe that it is a secondary mark of Hertel, Jacob & Co. from Rehau, based on the idea that the font and spacing style of the "BAVARIA GERMANY" addition is very similar to that normally used by the company. Conversely, some people believe that this mark could be used by Josef Hoffmann, a souvenir and giftware company which, coincidentally, was also located in Rehau.
