Mark View M090625

Some people have claimed that the company behind the White Block brand was J.B. Lynas & Son from Logansport, Indiana, a "Manufacturer of fine flavorings and toilet articles!". They produced scented soaps, pine tar soaps, hair pomade, talcum powder, toothpaste and so on, but also sold small amounts of kitchen items such as baking powder, cloves and tea. I doubted those claims straight away, not only because the step from toilet articles to kitchen storage is quite a stretch, but also because Lynas & Son was not a huge business, which suggests that the large number of container sets found in the USA cannot have come from them. This all suggests that these marks definitely did not belong to J.B. Lynas & Son.
