This mark is on a tile clearly marked "MADE IN CHINA".
This is undoubtedly one of the most foolish reproductions I have ever encountered. As can be seen, the mark clearly reads "VICWNA" and "OEOETZUCH OESCNUTZT". Even amateurs should be able to recognise that as nonsense. It is far from meaningful, unlike "VIENNA" and "GESETZLICH GESCHÜTZT". Also, some items clearly state "MADE IN CHINA", which not only proves that they are not Austrian, as some sellers claim, but also that they are not as old as claimed. Country of origin markings were not in use during the period from which these items are commonly claimed to date. Comparing various examples it also becomes pretty obvious that the "hand-applied" mark look is a ruse as these are all transfers, right up to the "0/470" addition.
