Mark View M120713

Marmot China was a series trademark of the US Reco International Corp., but the German manufacturer that produced the items appears to be unknown. Some people assume that the items were provided by Berlin Design, a subsidiary of Alboth & Kaiser. Reco offered a few different series, all of which were limited editions. Leaflets claimed that the corresponding moulds were destroyed at the end of each year. I find this hard to believe; no manufacturer would easily destroy moulds "just because". Another interesting point is that plates with the same plate border (or "shoulder") design were made under the Royal Copenhagen brand.

Reco themselves continued until at least 1991, mainly selling items made in the USA. These are the Marmot China releases I know of, but there will probably be more:
