The Royal Blue "Medallion" mark is found on cheap items of very poor quality. The same badly retouched transfer decorations are often found on different items, such as coffee sets, toothpick holders and powder boxes, while the Parian ware items are extremely poorly formed and lack detail. As these vintage items appear to be the worst examples of German porcelain ever produced, some people actually believe that they were not produced in Germany at all, but rather created by a foreign producer trying to profit from the good reputation of German products.
