This mark (like many others, e.g. M150811) is often said to have belonged to Möschl & Co. between 1925 and 1929. However, it does not appear in any of the reference materials I have consulted. The story behind the claim is that Möschl & Co. took over the Charles Ahrenfeldt decoration studio and ran it for a few years before selling it to Anton and Ernst Weidl in 1929. However, this is easily proven to be incorrect, as the proprietors of the studio in question were Eberl, Moschl & Co. (1920–1925) and then Moschl & Hein (1925–1929). It is a plain fact that the name was "MOSCHL", not "MÖSCHL", and it was only ever used in combination with another name. This shows that the Möschl & Co. claim is nonsense and was probably based on a foreign misinterpretation or poor OCR software. Fact is that the mark shown here is definitely neither Möschl & Co. nor related to the former Charles Ahrenfeldt decoration studio.
