This one plays a dirty trick on you! Look again - it doesn't say "BAVARIA"! Items bearing these marks date from the mid- to late 1960s and were produced by a factory belonging to the VEB Colditz combine in East Germany. From 1968 onwards, the mark included the word "East", thus forming "East Germany" in the mark.
