Marks can be read as either A. d. R & Co. or A. de R & Co., and in both cases, the decorations are poor, either transferred or poorly hand-painted, so it appears that the mark is that of a retailer or store.
Sellers sometimes claim that these items are from "around 1930", completely forgetting that the Carlsbad region has belonged to the state of Czechoslovakia since 1918. Therefore, the use of "Austria" in this mark suggests a date prior to 1918.
