Silesia / Freiwaldau (Polish 'Fryvaldov', today Czech 'Jeseník'):

[1] : Freiwaldauer Porzellanmanufaktur H. Schmidt & Otremba (1842 until 1894)

Founded by H. Schmidt in 1841 and taking up production in 1842, the factory specialized on basic consumer goods like cups and tableware. It should be noted here that even if the company is often quoted as being called 'Porzellanmanufaktur Schmidt & Otremba' there are various newspaper ads from this period which just state 'Porzellanmanufaktur H. Schmidt' and the registration papers for the registered marks also do not mention Otremba so he must have been a silent partner. In 1894 Schmidt sold the factory due to his planned retirement, but there are no records who took over management.

[2] : Porzellanfabrik Freiwaldau (1894 until 1930)

Some sources indicate the factory was taken over by Otremba, but so far no evidence for that theory was found. After the takeover the first years looked very promising but then the factory had to close shortly after the world financial crisis.
