The term registrirt is no typographical error, it is just the older German writing form of the word registriert which simply means 'registered'. Items marked with this addition were registered mainly under local authority (it was an early form of copyright), but as the local laws on marks and designs varied quite often, Germany later introduced the R.W.Z.R. as a central authority for mark and design registration.
