The term Elfenbeinporzellan is the generic name for ivory colored porcelain. Especially after World War II until around the middle of the 1960s there was a large demand for this type of porcelain and a few manufacturers even mainly specialized on these items, like the 'Porzellanfabrik Thomas' from Marktredwitz (Bavaria) or the 'Porzellanfabrik Oscar Schaller & Co. Nachfolger' from Schwarzenbach (also Bavaria), which even had the expression protected as part of their hallmark. Long before that, one of the most famous ivory porcelain types (the 'Old Ivory' series) was introduced by Hermann Ohme from Niedersalzbrunn (Silesia).
