September 6th:

After quite a rough time I finally finished the long awaited update. You will only find the larger changes listed here but I actually went and changed *all* entires; due to the massive changes in the main code it was impossible to partially update earlier. I believe the wait was well worth it as the pages now include tons of additional history and mark registration info.

Oh ... and I corrected a few minor flaws - nobody is perfect ;-)

Updates:

• Changed navigation on the 'Unidentified marks' pages
• Changed navigation on the 'Site History' pages
• Changed left hand side menu structure.
• All menu selections now have tooltips.
• Browser title bar now shows a correct file description.
• Updated the 'Vocabulary'.
• Updated the 'Historical Notes'.
• Changed complete 'Fake & Repro' pages.
• Pages now are fully printable without the interfering background and menu.
• Removed all GIF format picture files for various reasons.
• Drastic decrease in loading times without image quality loss.
• Overall size of picture archive reduced from 19.7MB to 8.3MB.
• Further info on unidentified 'GMT Co Inc' mark (now found under 'USA / New York'.
