September 6th:

Finally finished the long awaited update; you will only find the larger changes listed here but actually *all* entries were changed. Due to the massive changes in the main code it was impossible to work with partial updates. Anyway, it was well worth it as the pages now include tons of additional history and mark registration info.

Updates:

Changed navigation on the 'Unidentified marks' pages
Changed navigation on the 'Site History' pages
Changed left hand side menu structure.
All menu selections now have tooltips.
Browser title bar now shows a correct file description.
Updated the 'Vocabulary'.
Updated the 'Historical Notes'.
Changed complete 'Fake & Repro' pages.
Pages now are fully printable without the interfering background and menu.
Removed all GIF format picture files for various reasons.
Drastic decrease in loading times without image quality loss.
Overall size of picture archive reduced from 19.7MB to 8.3MB.
